The Law Offices

of

Patrick Lewis Kehoe PLLC

We assist clients with legal and compliance issues involving gaming law & licensing, Native American / Indian law, racing, pari-mutuel wagering & breeding, Title 31 (BSA/AML) Compliance, public bids and procurement, environmental and energy law, and all matters pertaining to legislation, government regulations & administration.

In general, we are not lobbyists. Instead, we collaborate with your team (management, legal, and lobbyists) to provide them with the specifics - the detailed legal knowledge and expertise needed to successfully navigate the process, influence decisionmakers, and attain the best result. A good lobbyist knows the process. We know the law. Working together, we get the job done for you - the Client.

Specifically, with respect to gaming issues, the bottom line is this: Effective representation of gaming interests in New York requires both a knowledge of the law today and an in-depth knowledge of New York’s gaming history, which has evolved in a manner that is uniquely New York. Because of this history, each facet of New York's gaming landscape is intricately interconnected, both politically and financially. Knowing this history means knowing the pitfalls and how to avoid them. In the complicated arena of New York gaming law, experience matters because the precise details matter.

Fun fact: Patrick drafted legislation to consolidate the Racing and Wagering Board and the Lottery into the New York Gaming Commission nearly two-decades prior to the creation of today's consolidated Gaming Commission.
